For a seminar at the U.S. Senate offices today (which also featured Gregory Conley and CASAA’s Igor Burstyn), I prepared a handout that I think is the best way to give an overview of what the title describes.

[Update: I neglected to mention that the event was hosted by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), in the person of CASAA advisor Sally Satel. They and she did a great job of planning the event and getting a lot of people there to hear what we had to say. It was a great contribution to the cause.]

It is aimed at people who know a little bit about the topic, and thus have probably heard bits of the usual misinformation, but are fuzzy on even the basics. It glosses over the health science because Igor was covering that.

Aswas the case with the Inquisition, this is system that relies, above all else, on secrecy and silence. Effective “Impression management” requires both the promotion of positive information and suppression of negative information.The “PHP-blueprint” has been effectively propagandized via a congratulatory back-slapping paradeof misinformation. This propaganda barrage includes both exaggeration of the existence anddanger of impaired and incompetent drug addled and misbehavingdoctors inflated capabilities in rooting them out and protecting the pubic from theircollective mayhem. Aimed at the legal, regulatory, administrative and legal arenas of medicine and thegeneral public this moral crusade has flourished without any meaningful opposition. We Have Germination!===Is the PP Debate Finished?

OK. No big deal.

I sowed the seeds on the 11th, and now, the 14th, the little darlings are popping up all over the surface of the compost. Very tiny, of course, but visible. Three/four days has sufficed. What is important is that my home-gathered seeds are viable. They are third generation, and should be ‘acclimatised’ to my soil to some extent. The only inference that I draw from that is that the plants will be just a little ‘hardier’. I don’t quite know what I mean by that! Perhaps it means that cooler, wetter conditions will not deter growth initially but not stop growth in due course.

Another interesting point is that ‘toasting’ is becoming more and more obvious as a means of ‘ageing’ tobacco quickly. I have been at it again, toasting Red Virginia and using it in a blend. I wanted to confirm my initial impressions…

As a specialist in geriatric medicine  I have experience in taking care of a number of physicians who were referred to me for suspected cognitive decline. The first was a well-respected surgeon who was a pioneer in the development of his particular subspecialty and was still teaching and operating in his 70s.   Known for his breadth of knowledge about medical history and his sharp clinical acumen, he seemed to be slowing down.  Colleagues noticed he appeared fatigued and forgetful at times (not remembering his keys, having trouble finding the right word).  An internist colleague who knew him for 50 years curb-sided me and asked if I would see him.  He did not have a primary care physician or seen a doctor professionally in decades (a common phenomenon in this age cohort).

I met him the next week and he readily admitted to having difficulty concentrating and having trouble with his short term memory.  We reviewed his history…

It explains why so many doctors across the country are claiming fabrication and manipulation of personality and cognitive tests to support nonexistent diagnoses. In evaluating a physician this group is not gathering data to form a hypothesis but making data fit a hypothesis that arrived well before the physician did.  And this may be part of the explanation for the recent marked increase in physician suicide. With guilt assumed from the start, no due process, no appeal, and no way out physicians are being bullied, demoralized, and dehumanized  to the point of hopelessness. This needs to end now.Medicine is predicated on competence, good-faith, and integrity. Medical ethics necessitates beneficence, respect, and autonomy. The scaffold erected here is designed for coercion and control. Exposure, transparency, and accountability are urgent. An evidence based Cochrane type assessment of their “research” and an Institute of Medicine Conflict of Interest review are long overdue. The emperor has no clothes and sunshine is the best disinfectant.She likes a rigged game, you know what I mean?

I am just a common ordinary self educated, self aware being, who like ALL of us that make up humanity whether, known or not known, unfortunately live under the tyranny above….! A troubling sixth sense that began in me long ago, regarding the business of addiction and recovery has now been upgraded. My rare perceptions, are keen observations directly from my clear senses and all my mistrust and disgust is now documentable and any self doubt is gone or exonerated. Is this the new dark ages? Instead of domination of the Church, we have an equally endowed all powerful overlord, the addiction police? One of the worst clues for me, was the realization that the Criminal Justice system is the enforcement of these one-sided, oligarchian profits before people organizations.

I am a vaper and as an ex-smoker of 43 years, this evil, is the very same idiology that would like to condemn my right to improve my own lung health, by calling others and myself nicotine-addicts with of course only one cure, the one that profits us the least and those in the CURING business’ the most!
